In the last few weeks, I’ve heard it all:

  • I’m zoomed out for the day…
  • I am turning into a Zoombie…
  • I think I got “Zoom Butt”…

People are tired of sitting through another boring Zoom meeting and it’s getting harder and harder to keep your participants present and engaged!

So when a friend told me about these hidden hotkeys in Canva, I had to try it out right away and I recorded a short video tutorial for you:

The best part: It’s super simple to use!

When presenting, press the following shortcuts on your keyboard for magic effects:

? Letter C for confetti rain
? Any number for a timer (1 for one minute, 2 for two minutes, etc.)
? Letter S for a shhh animation
? Letter B to blur the current slide
? Letter D for a drumroll animation
? Letter O for floating bubbles

I love using the drumroll when announcing something important (or not important at all, just for the giggles), the confetti to celebrate something and the timer for any timed activity – even a break in a longer event.

After you have used it, let me know in the comments how you engaged your audience with these magic keyboard shortcuts.
